Hello Pet!

This week’s Food for Thought Friday

Do you and your partner have pet names for each other? Do you use them in private or in public? How do you feel about cutesy names like babe, honey, sugar? Are you ok with being affectionately called slut or bitch? Spill the beans! Dare to tell us your pet name!

In case you are wondering about the title of this post “Hello Pet” harks back to my north eastern roots here in the UK.

Personally I don’t mind pet names in the slightest, be they “vanilla” or “BDSM”.

When we are in D/s play mode (we are not 24/7 D/s) then M always becomes “Sir” and he calls me “slut” or “dirty slut”.

For us when we are in D/s mode for an evening, or a day, we find that the use of these names enhances the dynamic between us.  It creates, for us, a stronger and more intense scene and when getting fucked hard by the man that is my Dominate for that time calling me his “dirty little slut” taps into my submission completely.

Day to day I usually have one main pet name that I use which is “Sweetheart”.

Him for me?  Well it varies I get called allsorts of cute and fluffy names.  Do I mind?  Not in the slightest!  Sometimes they make me laugh, sometimes I groan but always they are done with the greatest of affection so I don’t mind at all.

One of his favourites to use is “Dreamboat”! (I wonder if anyone knows where this comes from?)

I leave you with a bit of fun!  Enjoy!!

  1. Van

    Derivation of dreamboat
I don’t know if there’s something before this but in the early 20th century there were some elegant power boats built in Seattle called “Lake Union Dreamboats”
Incidentally I think that boats are referred to in the feminine is because of their curves
The way a woman’s breast flows into her torso is like a shear line of an elegant boat and both are beautiful in my eyes

  2. Jack Collier

Well there you go Pet. So you are a Geordie, or maybe close… Me, I’ve lived in Durham, London, Paris, New York, San Francisco and Southern California ~ and now I’m back in the North East…
